Affiliate Disclosure

You should always know how a comparison site makes money. This page explains ours, in plain terms.

Current position

At the time of writing, Linefinder has no commercial agreements with any broadband provider. We do not currently earn commission on any link on this site, and no provider has paid for placement, inclusion or ranking.

If and when we enter affiliate or partnership agreements, this page will be updated before any such link goes live, and the affected links will be labelled.

How affiliate links work

Affiliate marketing is a standard arrangement: a provider agrees to pay a referral fee when a visitor reaches their site through a tracked link and signs up. It costs the visitor nothing — the price you pay is the same as if you had typed the provider's address yourself.

When we do have such agreements in place, we will:

  • label commissionable links at the point of the link, not only in the footer;
  • mark outbound affiliate links with the appropriate rel attribute;
  • keep this page and our footer disclaimer up to date.

What commission does not buy

  • Position. Where we rank packages is decided by price, speed and fit to the household — not by who pays. If a commission-paying option sits at the top, it is because it scored highest.
  • Favourable wording. Drawbacks get mentioned whether or not a provider pays us. Contract length, mid-contract rises and exit fees are stated for every option.
  • Suppressed alternatives. We will show options that pay us nothing if they are the better choice for you.

Editorial independence

Commercial teams do not write or approve our content. Pricing data is captured from providers' own published pages, and every price shown is dated so you can judge how fresh it is.
